WHITAKER Supervision Solutions' primary focus is the needs of our clients. We place particular emphasis on the well-being of the children we serve. Ensuring their safety is our top priority.
We provide services to families in Alameda County, San Francisco County, Santa Clara County, and Contra Costa County. Our professional supervised visitation services allow the noncustodial parent to have an opportunity for positive contact with the child in a safe environment. It also reassures the custodial parent that the child’s physical and emotional safety are prioritized.
Our role as professional monitors is to be a neutral party that observes from a safe distance. Our goal is for the supervised visitation to be a safe and pleasant experience for your child.

What to Expect
Our supervised visitation services provide a structured environment where noncustodial parents can interact with their children under the observation of a neutral third party. These sessions are designed to ensure the physical and emotional safety of the child while promoting a positive and constructive relationship between the parent and child. At our facility, we adhere to the standards outlined in guideline 5.0, ensuring that our practices meet rigorous criteria for safety, professionalism, and consistency. This includes maintaining detailed documentation and following strict protocols to handle any concerns that may arise during the visits.
In addition to supervised visitation, we offer supervised exchange services, which facilitate the safe transfer of children between custodial and noncustodial parents. These exchanges are conducted in a neutral setting to prevent conflict and ensure the child's well-being. As mandated reporters, our staff is legally obligated to report any signs of abuse or neglect observed during these services. This commitment to safety and transparency underscores our dedication to providing a secure environment for all parties involved.
The Process
Step 1: The Courts order a parent to have monitored visitation. There are two types of monitored visitations: Professional and Non-professional,
Step 2: Parents receive a Court Order for visitation, with the Judge specifying the frequency and duration of the monitored visits. Since every case is unique, parents must identify a Supervised Visitation Monitor after receiving their Court Order.
Step 3: Parents reach out to a monitor who reviews the court orders (and any restraining orders if applicable). An intake interview is then scheduled, during which each parent meets with the monitor separately to discuss the case in detail, complete necessary paperwork, and set up the visitation schedule according to the court order. These interviews typically last about 1 to 1.5 hours.
Step 4: After the intake is completed, supervised visits begin as scheduled according to the court order. During each visit, the monitor ensures a safe and neutral environment for positive interactions between the parent and child. Expectations include adherence to the visitation guidelines and respectful behavior from all parties involved. The duration of each visit is determined by the court order and typically ranges from one to several hours.
